Tracy Arnone
Welcome Tracey Arnone new Principal of St. Hilary School
St. Hilary is pleased to announce the hiring of Mrs. Tracey Arnone as the new principal of St. Hilary School, effective July 1, 2011. In Mrs. Arnone, we are confident that we have selected a principal who embodies and will foster the excellence the St. Hilary School community expects. For the past nine years, Mrs. Arnone has been principal at her alma mater, Sacred Heart School in Wadsworth. Prior to this, she served for 17 years in the Wadsworth City School District as a principal, an assistant principal, a Title I coordinator, and a science teacher. She believes in putting children first, and in knowing each student personally.
Mrs. Arnone and her husband of nearly 23 years, Ray, are active members of Sacred Heart Parish where they both serve as Eucharistic ministers and Mrs. Arnone is a lector. They are the parents of twins Anthony and Maria. Anthony will graduate from Archbishop Hoban High School in June and will attend the University of San Francisco (a Jesuit university) in the fall. Maria will graduate from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in June and will leave shortly thereafter for the U.S. Naval Academy. Mrs. Arnone and her family consider Catholic education a top priority. She says, “My experience in both public and parochial schools has allowed me to see first-hand the value that Catholic schools give to our society. I believe that I will be able to help St. Hilary School continue to be a beacon of faith, and to empower its students to become leaders in their faith. Your children are God’s greatest gift to you. Your choice to send them to a Catholic school is your greatest gift to them. I feel blessed to have been chosen as principal of St. Hilary School, and am excited about working with all of you.”
Mrs. Arnone holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, and a master’s degree in elementary school administration from the University of Akron. She is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) and the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA), is Chairperson for the Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) of the Southern Area Principals for the Diocese of Cleveland, and serves as an accreditation chairperson for the Ohio Catholic Schools Accrediting Association (OCSAA). Her outstanding educational and professional credentials, as well as her fervent sense of Catholic identity, make Mrs. Arnone the ideal person to continue St. Hilary School’s tradition of excellence. We are delighted to welcome her into our community.
