Youth Ministry

Welcome to St. Hilary Youth Ministry

Leading Our Youth Closer to Christ

Under the guidance of Fr. Matthew Jordan, St. Hilary is excited to welcome you to Life Teen and EDGE! Join us for Sunday Mass at 5:30 p.m.

Life Teen - Teen Ministry

Life Teen strengthens our teens’ Catholic identity, while rooting them firmly in Christ and in His Church. Life Teen leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. With the Blessed Virgin Mary as our intercessor and guide, Life Teen seeks to unleash the fullness of the Sacramental power present within the young Church.

EDGE - Middle School Ministry

Edge helps middle schoolers unleash who they were created to be, in Christ. Edge is a Catholic middle school youth ministry program. It provides a safe fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. Edge resources speak to the physical, psychological, cognitive, relational, and spiritual maturation of middle school youth.

Get Social!

Adults - Get Involved!

Parents and interested parishioners with a variety of gifts and talents are needed to minister to our teens through the Alive Ministry Youth Program!

– Hospitality Ministry: Plan and/or provide snacks for Alive Nights and/or Social Events. This could include a group of parents who supply the snacks for alternating weeks or months

– Mission/Service Ministry: Work closely with the Youth Minister and Adult Staff to develop local service opportunities for the teens

– Liturgical Ministry: Assist with Mass Alive by coordinating and training the different areas of the liturgical ministers (ex. Ushers, Eucharistic Ministers, Servers, etc.

– Prayer Ministry: Assure that each Youth Group event is covered in prayer. Volunteers sign up to pray for the teens/adults during the time of each events, at church or home.

– Publicity Ministry: Spread the word about Alive Ministry events such as socials, retreats, trips, etc. through creative means, such as posters, flyers, announcements, and emails. This could include creating a monthly newsletter for Alive Ministry.

– Fundraising Ministry: Help with fundraising events already in place, such as: Pancake Breakfast, Spaghetti Dinner, Missionary for Hire that help to raise the needed funds to keep costs low for teen, especially finding big events such as Appalachian Service Project, Steubenville, and retreats.
