Catholicism 101 - Power of Holy Hour

Come, join us for Catholicism 101 to explore the beauty, depth, and love of God as experienced through Jesus’ presence in Eucharistic Adoration on these first Fridays:
October 5- Come, meet God face to face
November 2- Come, speak to God heart to heart
December 7- Come, see God with the eyes of your mind

Charismatic Prayer Group

This group honors and worships the Trinity with praise, prayer, song, sharing Scripture and exercising the gifts given to us by the Holy Spirit. We seek formation by the Holy Spirit and pray for the physical, emotional and spiritual healing of all the Church and the needs expressed by the members. Our meetings include teaching and sharing on various aspects of the Christian life. We focus on developing mature Christian living and our meetings are open to all. Faith Alive

For over 25 years, St. Hilary has held an annual retreat during Lent. Open to men and women over 18 years of age, the retreat is led by Fr. Norm Douglas and supported by a team of parishioners. Fr. Norm presents a dynamic vision that focuses on ways to affirm, equip and support Catholic men and women in their daily life mission of being the Church in their world of family, workplace, and community. The retreat is consistently rated the top non-liturgical spiritual experience offered by the parish. Join us and learn how you can strengthen the connection between faith, work, and your daily life.
TIME COMMITMENT: The 2013 retreat will occur Friday evening, March 8th through Saturday, March 9th.

Interfaith Silent Meditation Group: NEW for 2012!

This group transcends faith boundaries by offering a group setting and support for people of all faiths to practice silent meditation. All are invited to join in this silent form of prayer. Instructions are provided.

Journey Women

Women are invited to a retreat every 5th Monday of the month. Women meet in Sand Run Park at Shady Hollow Pavilion. The group spends their time together experiencing different kinds of prayer, journaling, reading, and sharing. Be Still and Know I am God Psalm 46:10.

Men's Group

All men are invited to attend and to learn life skills centered in Christ. This group focuses on living in the modern world as a Catholic man. We recognize we need God’s help. Participants receive unconditional acceptance and prayerful support from the group. Men who are inactive in the church, as well as those who are very active, benefit from attendance. Each meeting begins with Mass in the church followed by a presentation and group discussion Action Orientation Mission. All are welcome to attend Mass.

Ministry of Praise

A monthly newsletter (September-June) is sent to members with a request for their prayers for our parish. The newsletter will have the prayer intentions for that month along with prayers and seasonal stories. Young and old may join. There are no meetings.

These groups provide an opportunity for parishioners to gather in groups of 8 to 12 people to pray, share life experiences, grow in faith, and be a source of support to one another. Members usually meet in one another’s homes.

Wisdom Seekers: Scripture Sharing Group

Wisdom Seekers, formerly Bible Buddies, is a faith sharing group whose members meet once a month to pray together and seek the wisdom of the scriptures for their lives.
TIME COMMITMENT: The group meets from Sept. to May on the third Tuesday of the month, 12:30 to 2:30 pm.

Women of Grace

Vatican II asked women to accept God’s urgent call to “aid humanity in not falling”. Based on Johnnette Benkovic’s book, Full of Grace, this study will teach you how by revealing God’s purpose and mission for you. In a group study format with DVD lectures by Johnnette Benkovic, host of the Women of Grace Live radio program and Women of Grace seen on EWTN, you’ll delve into prayer, Sacred Scripture, Church documents and teachings, the Catechism, the lives of women saints, and the example of our Blessed Mother. You’ll be nurtured and fed spiritually, mentally and emotionally. You’ll learn to embrace your gift of authentic femininity and your dignity as a daughter of God. You’ll be equipped to fulfill your call and mission as a woman of grace in the world today. A typical meeting will begin with a prayer, discussion of a chapter from the book Full of Grace, as well as the accompanying study guide then on to the DVD lecture.
TIME COMMITMENT: This is a nine week program, on Tuesdays, beginning on September 11, 2012 through November 6, 2012, 12:00 to 2:00pm.

Young Adult Ministry

A newly added program to Youth Ministry for those who are beyond high school, in or out of college, single or married, with or without kids who want a program just for them. Join us for bi-monthly gatherings that allow for social interaction, spiritual development and just hanging out with people who are going through the same things you are. Open to all between ages 18-35 no matter religious denomination or parish. One of the gatherings is Alive Encounter which is a night of adoration, praise and worship in the life changing encounter with Jesus Christ in the power of His Holy Spirit.
