Funerals

The process begins when a funeral home calls to inform us that a parishioner has died. The priest is contacted to set the time and day of the funeral. Mary Lou Grossmann, the Director of Liturgy, arranges a time for the family to come and plan the liturgy. At this time, the family is asked if they would like to have a luncheon after the funeral.

Once a year around the feast of All Souls a special Mass is said for anyone who died during the year. Parishioners who lost a loved one within the past year are sent a special invitation to attend the Mass and a presentation by a speaker on grief. A continental breakfast is served during the presentation.
