How to have your child baptized:

Congratulations on the birth of your child! St. Hilary Parish is pleased to welcome any new addition(s) to our parish community.

How to have your child baptized at St. Hilary Parish. This link on the St. Hilary website is designed to help you with the procedures for having your child baptized at St. Hilary Parish.

Please follow the steps that are outlined below.

  • Read the entire link about how to have your baby baptized at St. Hilary Parish.
  • Pull down the Pre-Registration Form, the sample of a sponsor certificate and the guidelines for choosing a god-parent.
  • When you have returned the Pre-Registration Form and we have received the Sponsor Certificates we will call you to schedule a date for the baptism.
  • Baptism Sessions are scheduled for parents who are having their first child and then again when they have their second child. These sessions are scheduled four times a year. The schedule for the year is given below:

    Monday, August 2, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Spiritual Center
    Monday, October 4, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Spiritual Center
    Monday, January 3, 2011 at 7:00 pm in the Spiritual Center
    Monday, March 7, 2011 at 7:00 pm in the Spiritual Center
    Monday, May 16, 2011 at 7:00 pm in the Spiritual Center
    Monday, August 1, 2011 at 7:00 pm in the Spiritual Center

  • Godparents: How should I choose my child's godparent(s)? Please read the special print out that is provided.
  • Baptisms are scheduled as follows:

    First Saturday of the Month - 4:00 pm liturgy
    Second Sunday of the Month - 9:00 am liturgy
    Fourth Sunday of the Month - 11:00 am liturgy
    First and Third Sunday of the Month - 12:30 pm outside of liturgy or after the 11:00 am liturgy. We prefer to schedule baptisms during liturgy when the parish community is present to welcome the child and their family into the Catholic Church.

    Note: During Lent we do not baptize as a sign of our solidarity with the Catechumens who are moving toward the Easter Vigil when they will be baptized.
